End of the Month – February Progress Update…..
So February just ended, month #2 of 2017 is behind us. How did my goal achievements compare to last month? Well…..
Let’s just say, a little bit of progress is better than NO progress. I’m continually trying to tweak my habits every day to help guide me towards my goals. It’s all about the baby steps. Moving at a turtle pace.
After reviewing where I was at the end of January, I reminded myself – Slow and Steady Wins the Race. So, I’m back to taking it one day at a time. I started off the month strong and am finishing strong. However, the in between is where I’m lacking. My biggest struggle is putting the entire month together. I’m starting March reading Anthony Robbins “Awaken the Giant Within” and in chapter 2, he addresses this very issue. He states, “stay committed to your decision, but stay flexible in your approach.” This month I did have some unusual weeks, like helping care for my grandma, which threw me off my routine. My action item for March is to be more flexible in my schedule so nothing gets in the way of my productivity.
Ah, there’s that word again. Productivity. After reading Laura Vanderkam’s “168 Hours,” she suggests keeping a time log to see how we’re using the 168 hours of each week. Since productivity is still something I’m struggling with, I’m going to be doing a time log this week. I’ll begin Wednesday, March 1st, and log my hours until Tuesday, March 7th. I challenge you to a time log as well! I can’t wait to hear share results!
